Preparing The New Training Centre

So lockdown happened and I was placed on furlough, which is not how I envisioned the start to my new training role with SERT.  After what felt like forever at home during lockdown, I got a call saying 'come on Kevin there’s work to do, we're going to revamp the SERT Training Centre', so off I went to get it ready for you all.

DIY stores, builders merchants and plumbing suppliers became my new best friends as I visited them more than my family.  I painted, plumbed (took an impromptu shower!) hammered and screwed to get the training centre up to standard.

As I look around some two months later the SERT Training Centre has changed almost beyond recognition.  New walls, doors, a rack of boilers, a wall of radiators, some old meters I never thought I’d see again and some flexi pipe I know I never want to see again.  It’s been a labour of love from start to finish but I have been very happy to get back to work and play an important part in SERT's journey to ACS accreditation with Cert-ain.
