To upskill into heat pumps, candidates must hold a nationally recognised qualification and/or registration in a trade associated with heating and/or plumbing for a period of no less than 2 years.
This gives existing heating technicians a head start, with no current shortcuts available for new entrants to work directly with heat pump systems.
Candidates are also required to hold current and valid certifications of the following:
- Water Regulations (0.5-days)
- Unvented Hot Water (0.5-days)
