Job description
You will be working as a subcontractor for a leading provider of energy-efficient solutions specialising in the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) and Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) programs. They are dedicated to helping homeowners reduce their energy consumption and improve their living conditions through innovative insulation solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled Insulation Surveyor to join the dynamic team on a self-employed basis.
You will NOT have to conduct an occupancy report and this will also not require a full condition survey.
We are looking for a large number of candidates to cover UK locations from The Midlands to the South Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Surveys: Perform detailed surveys of residential properties to assess insulation requirements under GBIS and ECO4 schemes.
- Evaluate Building Conditions: Analyse building structures, materials, and existing insulation to determine the most effective insulation solutions.
- Client Consultations: Engage with homeowners to explain the benefits of insulation, answer questions, and address concerns regarding the installation process.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations based on survey findings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GBIS and ECO4 standards.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all surveys and installations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Completing and Uploading Reports: You will be required to draw up in-depth floor plans, and upload all evidence within 48 hours of the survey.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Insulation Surveyor or in a similar role within the energy efficiency or construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of insulation materials, installation techniques, and relevant regulations.
- Familiarity with GBIS and ECO4 schemes and their requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- DEA Level 3 and Retrofit Assessor Level 4 certificates are advantageous
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
