Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in healthcare facilities and commercial buildings
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and other professionals to ensure proper installation and functioning of plumbing systems
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
- Adhere to building codes and regulations when performing plumbing tasks
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions
Experience:
- Previous experience as a plumber or in a related field is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of plumbing systems
- Basic math skills for measuring, calculating pipe lengths, etc.
- Ability to assemble, weld, and install pipes according to specifications
- Familiarity with power tools used in plumbing work
- Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, pipe cutters, etc.
- Capable of heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments
- Valid driver's license for commercial driving (if required)
