As Contracts Manager, you will oversee M&E and facilities projects from start to finish, including planned mechanical maintenance, installation, project design, refurbishment, and repair of existing services. You will be the main point of contact for both the engineering team and the customer throughout the project, ensuring key relationships are maintained, managing costs and timelines, and fostering business development while handling both new and existing contracts.
This role will require time in the Stoke-on-Trent office, with travel across the Midlands and North West of the UK to visit project sites.

Key responsibilities of the Contracts Manager include:
- Acting as the main point of contact and leading the team throughout the project delivery.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Managing project valuations, variations, and understanding standard construction contracts and processes.
- Overseeing subcontractor management, ensuring sub-contract orders and procurement processes are followed.
- Day-to-day management of labour resources and sub-contractors.
- Regular reporting on project spend against budget.
- Conducting site surveys for new and existing installations.
- Tendering for new works and building new client relationships.
- Health and safety planning and management.
What we require from you:
- A background in mechanical engineering, gas installation, or facilities management.
- Proven experience in a similar contract management role.
- C&G or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services qualification.
- Health & Safety-related qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, IOSH).
- A Project Management qualification would be desirable, but not essential.
- The ability to secure new business opportunities.
