Financial Controller – Growing Services Business
📍 Location: Stoke-on-Trent
💰 Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 + Bonus
📆 Job Type: Full-Time | Hybrid (1 day WFH)
About the Role
An established and growing services business is seeking a Financial Controller to lead and enhance its finance operations. This is a high-impact role within a thriving company that has experienced record-breaking growth and is on track for further success this year.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Ownership of financial controls and operations.
✔ Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in balance sheets and P&Ls.
✔ Manage foreign exchange reporting, hedging, and cashflow forecasting.
✔ Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including inter-company.
✔ Drive process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
✔ Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
✔ Work closely with external auditors and maintain strong internal controls.
✔ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
✅ Strong experience operating at Financial Controller level.
✅ Background in a global business or a business of scale.
✅ Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team.
✅ Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
