General / Operations Manager – Commercial Solar
Location: Portsmouth / Southampton area (hybrid flexibility considered)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 per annum + performance bonus + benefits

Your Key Responsibilities
As the division’s operational lead, your focus will be on the successful delivery of commercial solar projects, including:

Leading all aspects of project delivery, from planning to completion

Managing internal teams, subcontractors, and third-party suppliers

Ensuring health & safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards are consistently met

Maintaining long-term relationships with clients and labour partners

Driving improvements in efficiency, service delivery, and commercial performance
You’ll have the autonomy to implement best practices, develop scalable processes, and play a hands-on role in shaping the division’s growth.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking someone with a strong background in commercial solar or the wider renewable energy sector, who is confident working independently and making strategic decisions. You’ll need:

Proven leadership experience within solar PV operations or energy infrastructure

A well-established network across the South Coast

Strong commercial acumen and a proactive mindset

A track record of delivering high-quality, compliant, and profitable projects

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels
