Job description
As a Solar Roofer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar panels on rooftops. You will work closely with the electrical and installation teams to ensure that solar systems are properly mounted and secured to various types of roofs. Your expertise in roofing will be essential in ensuring high-quality installations that are safe, durable, and leak-free. The company head office is based in Sheffield, however this will be working on a long term project based north of Northampton.
Key Responsibilities:
Install solar panel mounting systems on residential and commercial rooftops Secure solar panels onto roofs, ensuring alignment and structural integrity Inspect and repair roof surfaces prior to installation if necessary Work with other team members (electricians, installers) to ensure seamless installation Use safety equipment and follow OSHA safety guidelines while working at heights Perform post-installation inspections to ensure the roof and solar panels are properly sealed and protected Troubleshoot any roofing-related issues that arise during or after the installation Provide maintenance and repair services as neededQualifications:
Proven roofing experience with solar panel installations Ability to work comfortably on various types of roofs (tile, shingle, metal, etc.) Strong understanding of roof structures and safety protocols when working at heights Familiarity with hand and power tools used in roofing and solar installation Ability to read and interpret construction plans and layouts Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditionsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in solar roofing or PV system installation Experience with roof repair and waterproofing techniques Ability to troubleshoot common issues with rooftop installations Working at heights qualification (preferred)Benefits:
